Other than Klasse

I'm having a problem gaining access to Klasse products here in Canada (always sold out of SG)
I own a 2014 black Kia Soul that I've been pouring heart and soul into to keep looking great. Also added some stand out chrome accents which look great with the black metal paint.(I know the neighbors talk about my obsession with this car)
I need suggestions on products that work well with black paint without getting a sterile shine.
I need a product(s) to apply before winter comes to Ontario as I won't be able to wash polish and wax like I can in the other months.
Winter lasts about 6 months where I live.
Thank you to everyone who has given their help and opinions with all my requests. You guys all rock!

Yes I can get 845, but do you think just that alone will last me most of the winter?
What is an insulator wax anyway? Does it have polymers in it also?

Done right, it will last longer than winter

I'm seeing a lot of palm trees in all those pics.
Nice pics and I do use BF during the off winter months. I'm not sure if those products will last a month up here let alone 6, with all the snow and salt and sand and slush.
Pictures were outstanding!

We got the salt, we got the sand (no slush except mud/sand puddles)

Both are very durable, but not sure will last a full winter.

But ............

While there are a lot of variables, Collinite 845 doesn't last all that long for me. Definitely not as long as their 476S (I still use both).

Collinite waxes all work fine over KAIO and most anything else too.

If the look of FK1000P (that "sterile" shiny sealant look, which I came to actually like on metallic black and got lots of compliments on) is just too "wrong" then I'd use 476S. In fact, 476S over KAIO is what I did use on metallic black prior to switching to the FK1000P. By the end of winter it needed redone, but it lasted pretty long for a daily driver out in the weather all the time.

I can verify that FK100p over KAIO on a silver car is fantastic. Can only imagine how it would look on a black car. All I've read here is the FK 1000p is as long lasting if not more so than anything else.

With so many different opinions about what looks good on black, I'd hate to guess what other people will think of it! Folks who like Zaino on black oughta like it; people who prefer Souveran on black will hate it. O

n metallic black, IME non-Autopians think it looks great, probably the most compliments I ever got from strangers in all the decades I've been doing this stuff (sure never expected that).

All I've read here is the FK 1000p is as long lasting if not more so than anything else.

Heh heh, it was probably Yours Truly who posted that here :D But yeah, nothing's ever beaten it IME, not that heavily layered KSG doesn't also have its merits and I *am* still using Collinite on the one car.

Once again I have something more to consider, even if it's against my better judgement...!

Don't sweat it too much

It 1k works great, and if you really don't like the look, you can hit it with a beauty wax, and it'll still have bullet proof protection underneath

There are no retailers in Canada that have FK1000p for sale.
I did see a small sample can of FK1000p under the name BMW1000. Apparently after checking different forums, this is the same thing, new packaging.
Anyone heard the same? It's in a silver tin.

This is the sample tin, only 59ml

I've tried most of the above in NE PA winters and have done my own testing. I've also tried Bilt Hamber's Finish and NaviWax Ultimate. While they all were good waxes, Synergy holds up the best against the salt and snow IME. NaviWax is probably #2 - but you have to order it from Europe. Finis and Collinite 915 seem pretty close. Black Ice just sucked for me. Powerlock seems hit or miss with durability for whatever reason. Sometimes it lasts - sometimes it doesn't.

I've never tried FK. All it took was a few reviews saying the stuff could be hard to work with and I was out.

If you buy Synergy, I don't believe you'll be disappointed. Of course, you can prolly get like 10 bottles of Powerlock for the price - so I guess it depends if your willing to spend exponentially more more something that is better.
