Other auto manufacturers than big 3?

RANDAL

IOWA BOY
In the 70's and 80's I remember Ford and its divisions, Gm and its divisions, Chrysler and its divisions, and little AMC that Chryler shallowed. International Harvestor folded its light line of scouts in 1980. Are there any other small time auto manufacturers in North America that are NOT foreign owned. I remember Trogen (spelling) that built cars based on firebird body. It was built somewhere around Souix City, Iowa. Are there any tat were and possibly still are in business? Te Bicklin on Chop Cut Rebuild got me thinking about this, they used either AMC or Ford power. Theres also the former DMC, and another perfarance car that once was part of Studebaker, AVANTI. ANy more? and any history? RANDAL

There are Zenn cars here in Canada (Zenncars.com). Zero-Emission-No-Noise. Little 25mph urban dwellers. i don't know of any others.

Randal:
Over the years, many car manufacturers have come and gone int the U.S.
Are you asking about those or just current/recent builders?

just thinking some day, about owning soething North American made, but not from thr big 3. kinda an orphan thing but by a manufavtorer still in bisiness. that list is long and dial up is slow. just soething interesting that isnt faring, detailing, or about ih scouts. RANDAL

That report was so funny lol :rofl. Cool little car

Yeah, Rick Mercer is a genius. He's the guy that did "Talking to Americans," that had Harvard profs congratulating Canada for getting running water and for getting rid of the Saskatchewan seal hunt (etc.).

Looking back at all the serious cases and backgrounds of many manufactures, one stands out more than most. The Trumbull from 1915 is one scary part of history.
