OTC degreaser and glass cleaner

Hi everyone, I've decided I want to clean my engine bay (first time, a little nervous about it), so I'm looking for an affordable OTC degreaser/APC to get rid of the oil buildup and dirt and such. However, I want something that won't stain aluminum, because I'm pretty sure the heat shield for my header is aluminum, along with my engine block. (I started looking at Simple Green, but it sounds like it will stain aluminum).

Also, I'm looking for a new glass cleaner. I currently have Armor All glass cleaner (in a clear spray bottle), but it streaks like crazy (I wipe it off with some bright green low-knap microfibers I picked up at Walmart that claimed they were intended for glass cleaning). I've heard Stoner's Invisible Glass is good. Any thoughts?

I'd like these to be OTC products. Nearby, I have an Autozone, O'Reilly's, and (obviously) a Walmart.

Thanks!

Edit: I just went out and looked, and my heat shield isn't aluminum. However, the block definitely is, so I'd still like something that won't stain it.

for the glass cleaner stoner's... hands down the best OTC glass cleaner out there(my opinion)

FYI I don't think they usually make heat shields out of aluminum

(I cound be wrong)

if it is very dirty I like the Gunk foam engine degreaser(ckeck about the aluminum staining)

If you have a CarQuest close by, you can look there and pick up their housebrand APC. It's less than 7 bucks a gollon and does a good job. One word of warning, it is very strong and it can damage the paint....but it cleans like a champ. I mainly use it for cleaning my tires and such.

excellent glass cleaner :up ! one thing i like about it is that it sprays foam (aerosal version), so when you wipe it away, it evaporates quickly and doesn't streak bad like many/most conventional glass cleaners today...
