There's the sneak peak of me showing the customer Opti Coat pro was a good idea for this car, he was thinking re-paint and I was thinking I'm good enough to save it :rockon. So I showed him. Hope you like it!

Washed 2x2 with straight dawn(foam gun died)
Decon was carried out with Acid wash followed by 3m perfect clay. Old school acid wash for old school single stage paint.
Correction was done all with Dewalt 849x Orange, white, red CCS pads and some 3' Megs cutting and polishing pads. FG400, BF SRC compound, BF src finishing.
LSP was Opti Coat Pro
All metal and wheels were polished with BF fine metal polish and sealed with Opti coat pro.

So it's kinda hard to catch how bad this paint was with my Iphone. The video gives you better idea and that was after wash and decon.

After wash, decon, and tape I got the metal out of the way with my 3' pad and BF metal polish. At this point I had a line right down the middle of the car because I wanted the customer to see a REALLY big difference when he checked it out.

No look compounding!!! I took this pic for my good friend Andrew of Big A Detailing

3' pads work amazingly well in tight areas I love them for this stuff. Although after polishing metal I killed 4 of these and had to send someone to get more for the paint.

I made my point! When the customer saw this well

This is SRC compound after being broken down. A little trick I use on this step(medium polishing) is to use compressed air to blow spent paint and polish off the buffing pad and make a few more passes at a really low RPM 600. This goes a long way in removing any micro scratches(Rotary trash) and leaves the paint ready for finishing polish.

Done! only took about 40 hours or so!

Joe, you are the man... If I can get my truck to look 1/4 as good as the BMW then I will definitely consider my venture a success!!!

It is one thing to buff out a late model vehicle....it is something magical when you can do the same to an old car.

:yourrock

Excellent work. I have 325ix in same color time for me to get off my lazy behind and starting working my car. lol

Amazing turnaround Joe!!! I bet the owner was ecstatic that he didn't have to repaint the car. What was his reaction?

This picture is very shiny and looks a mile deep:
