Opti Coat Pro Certified
This car is a very good customers wife's soon to be DD. It is replacing a GL that got hammered in every way possible so we wanted to go absolutely insane on the protection on this one. So we decided a full clear bra kit was in order along with full Opti Coat Pro application of all surfaces. As well as interior getting protected. Being that I personally had went to with the customer to order the car to explain to them if they touched it after it got off the truck delivery would be refused. We picked it up a couple days ago. The look on the sales guy's face when I busted out my PTG and dewalt LED light was priceless. Everything was good so it was driven straight to the shop.

Bath using 2 buckets and pearl wash. Strange Iron-x pulled almost nothing off this car. Then 3m perfect it clay was used. Still almost nothing picked up during decon.

Taped up for some gloss enhancement. The paint really had no swirls, scratches, it was over all in great shape. Glossing it up was left to BF SRC Finshing Polish and a red pad on the Rupes LR21. Really had almost a Jeweling action more than polishing. The paint work was only slightly brighter.

IPA and on with the PPF Kit! After this was done I used IPA on the rest of the car and Opti Coat Pro'd it. It was left to cure over night. BTW this all happen over 2 days. Polishing one day Clear bra and OC the next. Even though the car was in good shape to see an improvement in the gloss I had to be very patient and make multiple passes per section. Anyone who has Jeweled a car knows this is just as time consuming as correcting one.

Other than the bumper I free handed all other pieces on the car. I would of used a kit because I hate taking a razor to the edge of the paint. But for this customer having wrapped his SLS I knew seeing lines was not gonna be acceptable and I would of ended up redoing it.

I case you were wondering the interior got full treatment as well! I wish I knew what this was I put on this because its amazing. Strange enough I found it sitting on my desk one day with a note that said "I'm better than scotchgaurd, Call me!" The number is turned off and I tried it first on some floor mats and literally a pressure washer 2 inches away wasn't getting through. Non of the employees knew anything other than the guy look weird and was driving a truck lol.

Thanks for looking

really nice work joe. you should have gotten the dealership guy on video when you arrived for the pick up inspection with your equipment.:rofl

That's awesome! :rofl

Awesome job :bigups

Thanks guys!!!!

awesome work!

you do the PPF install yourself? what type of film?

Yeah I install it and use Xpel film only. Lately I've only been doing the custom jobs that require a blade close to paint because I have a buddy of mine who will install kits for next to nothing for me and he is good. He won't free hand anything though because he's scared.

Thanks guys!!!!

very interesting. I was looking towards installing Xpel maybe down the road (my opti-coat clients ask sometimes). May pick your brain when I get a little more serious about it if you don't mind

Great job as usual J.
