Ordering food...

I usually pack a sandwich and red-bull to help me get through the detail, one of my weekly wash clients lives near a Starbucks, sometimes after the wash I grab some coffee!

I think anytime you are on any "Client's" property to perform work, you are now subject to how the owner wants things done with respect to people coming on his property for any reason.

I suppose, if the owner knows about it, and is ok with it, then its probably ok, but I would probably never do it.

Also prefer to bring my own food/water/etc., and dont ever depend on anyone to take care of me, or expect it.

It its offered, I might take advantage of it, but if Im in the "zone", I also really dont want to stop until I am done with the process, etc., and there is a space where you are changing things, and might stop then..

I am also sensitive to who comes into my garage like most people, and if I see an uninvited stranger in there for any reason, my 2 GSD's go out to "meet and greet" while I look behind the door and make sure my little friend is ready. :)

I asked my wife about it and she gave me the correct answer. :)

When you know that you'll be putting in a long day, plan for a nurtitious breakfast, a mid-morning snack, pack a wholesome lunch along with a mid-afternoon snack.

Women are so wise. I always consult her on such matters.

If I go mobile I take the same approach to bringing the proper amount of food/water as I do with having all the equipment I need for the job "Two is one and one is none" be prepared for everything.

Totally agreed, I always have a gallon of water on hand, I wonder if i could use my camelback when doing a long correction.

Perception and appearance is everything.. I think it would be better to bring your own prepared lunch or take a break and go out for lunch rather than having delivery people coming to your clients home. What if for example the client had an expensive exotic and the delivery person had a criminal background and decided to return at a later date.

I agree 100%!

Water/food/proper clothing all should be considered just as important as your detailing supplies.

Working long hours in a trade that requires such a high attention to detail without the proper food/liquids to keep up your stamina is a sure fire way to make mistakes.

Cliff bar

Put a couple high protein fitness/food/granola bars in your rig. Then you're not stuck if a job goes longer than expected.

Cliff bars are a current favorite and cheap insurance at ~$1.25 each.
