Ordered WG twins today ... which polish to use to prep?

I'm contemplating polish options for my 03 Red Ram truck. My paint is in very good condition with just "minor" swirls.



Plan to:

Wash

Clay

Rinse

Polish???

WG pre-cleaner

WG Deep Gloss sealant



So many good polish choices now?:nixweiss



Anyone have a good suggestion?
 
If you're claying, you should definitely polish. If the paint is in great shape, I'd go 3M PI-III Machine Glaze, PC polishing pad, if not so great, something like 1Z Paint Polish, Menzerna Intensive Polish or even Meguiars DACP, all with polishing foam pad.



Follow with a finishing pad and WG Paint Cleaner :xyxthumbs

Just keep in mind you will not know your starting point for polishing until you get into the job. You may even need a compounding step (3M FC or 1Z ultra) and rotary for those too tuff for PC areas or you might only need the WG pre-cleaner ( wonderful product :up) for your PREP. You will be surprised of your finished actual appearance after stripping away your present protectant.

Have the arsenal ready, enjoy the job and the results.

I put the question marks after polish because I wasn't sure which polish, but I'm definetly going to use something. Thanks for the tip of using WG pre-cleaner with a finishing pad.

1Z ultra and a rotary on my pristine paint :scared :shocked :scared I'd rather live with the minor swirling first;)



Would anyone recommend any of Meg's polishes, e.g. 80, or 82?

I've heard that DACP (83) and Swirl free polish (82) combo leaves a perfect finish in most case. follwed up by the WG pre-cleaner and sealant, it should look like :shocked



where in New Orleans are you at? i'm on the northshore.
 
Minor swirls you guys!! Man, it almost sounds like you guys are trying to bring something back from the dead ! Why not just go with the Wolfy twins ????
