Ordered my new Cyclo today.....

Well, after reading and studying and reading and studying.... I have finally made up my mind today and ordered my new Cyclo. I also ordered my product as well. Ordered product from Gloss-It and can't wait for this weekend!! :woot2:

Congrats on the new tool. I love my Cyclo, especially with the Edge double-sided pad system on it. I can go from an orange pad to a green one in a few seconds.

I haven't gone that far yet. Maybe if I get into doing family and friends cars but to do mine and my wife's and my parents cars, I think I'm good for now. It was between the Cyclo and the Flex but, after all I read about the back plate issues on the Flex, I didn't want to drop a bunch of money for something I had to baby and be careful with not to break. I'm happy and stoked. Now I gotta maybe order a foam gun maybe and a few other things and I'm ready to take care of my baby a little better.

i bet there have been literally thousands and thousands of the Flex sold and just a very small percentage (probably a few percent) of problems with the backing plates and just like any other power tool and what not, there will be problems here and there. in anycase, congrats on the purchase once again...

Over on another site I read alot of them and it turned me off..... in all my research though, I can't say I've read of one Cyclo having an issue. Maybe I just haven't found that post yet.

it's all good and in the end, if you're happy with your purchase than that's all that matters... :)

Find a machine you are happy with and stick with it! :)

(unless you're like me who broke his first one and decided to upgrade while it was in the shop)

:D

Congrats on the Cyclo, it's still my all-time favorite polisher, the only one I actually enjoy using. Its only shortcoming is that it's a bit too gentle for really serious correction, but there might be a way to get it to do it using M105 (and probably wool pads, which *did not* work well with other products IME).

The only problems I've heard about were a) bad cords, which I suspect was a single production run as I heard about them a lot and then never again, and b) some kind of mild electrical shock issue  that might've been related to the cord too.

AFAIK such problems are extremely rare (neither of mine has ever had *any* problems) and are quickly resolved by either the vendor or CycloToolmakers.

i have a cyclo but havnt used it yet...let me know how the gloss-it products i was going to order there kit with all 3 different polishes..
