Orange LC pads or Yellow

I currently have 3 white 2 black and 2 ORANGE LC pads. I am not ablt to remove some of the scratches and swirls on my paint. Is there that much of a difference in the ORANGE and YELLOW pads wilth says DACP,SSR2.5 OR IP?



Or should I just go with a 4" spot pad, and if so what color and how much are they?

I used the SFX yellow and SSR 2 this week and, to tell you the truth, I thought the Sonus orange and and SSR 2 did a much better job removing swirls. I followed both up with SSR 2 and polishing pad. I'm not sure if this helps you are not but that's MO!

You might want to try a Meguiar's burgandy pad. It seems to have more cutting power than either the LC yellow pad or LC orange pad. The Meg's folks do not recommend using their burgandy with a pc, but it has worked OK for me. I have used it with both 3M Finese It II compound and with Meg's DACP. Follow up with a polishing pad. Set the pc at 5 and hang on.
