Um, has anyone actually contacted Meguiar's about us getting scheduled on this? Also, it seems we each will need to register at the Meg's forum and ultimately add our names to a list there in order to be "officially" counted in. I'm happy to take the lead here and see about making the arrangements with Meguiar's if that's OK with everyone.

I've just exchanged a series of emails with Mike Phillips over at Meg's and I'd like to share this quote from his last email to me:



I’ll look at the calendar and get back to you. We are just now finishing building a BRAND NEW Training Room, with all the bells and whistles, so please be patient and I’ll try to do something really special for Autopians.



I’m pretty sure Sept 24th is going to be an “Open House�, so it might be possible to do August 27th, (I might be on a Father/Son camping trip), or the next available date would be September 1st.

Is any one aware of an age limit ?

I would also sign up my 12 yr old son if thats possible, otherwise no big deal.

Can that be checked on Mike ?
 
I'm game for a Meguiar's meet... had been looking to maybe sneak in with one of the other clubs, but this would be better. Wanted to get a little technique instruction before attacking my own vehicles...



If you're just talking about a "get-together"... maybe... is not very practical since I'm up here in Valencia.

Chris, There's no age limit for Meguiar's classes... :)

He won't have to join Autopia but he (and everybody else) will have to join Meguiar’s Online.



When Mike-in-Orange gets everything arranged with Mike Phillips at Meguiar’s a sign-up thread will be posted on Meguiar’s Online.



Everybody who wants to attend (and isn’t already an MOL member) will have to join MOL and then post a request to be added to the class on the sign-up thread.



Here's an example of a typical sign-up thread with istructions for joining MOL.

Update: I spoke with Mike Phillips a couple hours ago and he said to pencil in October 8th - it's the earliest opening they have. The August 27 date won't work due to some remodeling they are doing which will ultimately mean ample room for 30 people in the classroom, rather than cramming in 15!



So, pencil in October 8 (don't use ink, he still needs to confirm 100%). I'll let you know in the next few days if you can switch to pen, or a sharpie even!!



Then, yes, we will all have to formally sign up on the Meguiar's forum website, but I'll post a link to that when the time comes.
 
Good to see you got a date in early October, the weather will be perfect by then and you'll easily get 30 people signed up by then.

Sorry for the lack of updates this week......it's been a crazy week at work but at least I didn't miss the flight to Dallas Monday morning. Yes, better the boss do that than I (even if I did have to run solo in the carpool lane to get around the traffic jam on the 405!!).



Anyway...........



I need to contact Mike Phillips over at Meg's and make sure the October date is locked down, then get the thread started over at Meg's forum so you guys can all sign up.



Hopefully in another couple of days I'll have the definitive answer and we can move onto the next phase.
