Optimum vs. LiquidIce????

Neither, I'd try Chemicalguys stuff, clearkote, Zaino, or klasse twins if you want a challenge. Stick with the established stuff IMO.

I've no experience with Norton LiquidIce, but when it is working similarly... it can be good too.



Figure out what is cheaper for you and jump on.
 
Mothers Power Polish seems more like a direct fit with this Liquid Ice than OC or OP....



Mother's claims the "bite" changes with different pads used...
 
I have the seen the product online and the first thing that came to my mind was OP. Then again, as I have said in the past the ability to change the "cut" of OP through the use of different pads is nothing unique, it's just advertised. I am not saying that OP is not unique, it is, but not because it cuts more with a wool pad than with foam.



I would like to try the liquid ice, but I have too much on my plate right now.



I know that autoglym private labels (or use to) some of Norton's products.

Yep, I noticed that too--definitely a buff n shione with that attaching system. I like that system, but hate the fact that you can only use one set/size of pads.
 
when i went to my local distributer for norton stuff, they also carried buff n shine pads so they might be connected for sure. i used it briefly and it seems pretty good, but then again it was like 2 min of use and barely any time for a real inspection. im gonna go check it out again today ay this bodyshop i worked at. ill post some more in depth review later.
 
Any idea where I can buy the liquid ice stuff online? when I googled it, the only vendors that came up looked shady.



Their pad idea looks really nice... With the auto centering hub and all... i'd love to try that out..
 
well when i worked at a bodyshop, norton came to us and showed us their products. i will be the first to say they were terrible. they had told us that their polish should only be used on freshly painted vehicles. well we had a 1970 Charger there, dark blue, that we were in the process of finsihing buffing. we told him to do a demo on the decklid, which was already sanded down with a da w/ 1500 then 2000, we were gonna do 3000 but he said they wouldnt need it. he first used the wool pad on a dewalt and then the foam pad and then finished up the the detailer spray, carried it into the sun and examined, sanding scratches everywhere. he asked how long ago it was painted and we said 2 weeks and he said that no wonder why b/c the paint had cured too much. i didnt like the products at all, i mean its a good idea but they need to do a lil more work on it
