Optimum Tire Shine Five Stars!!

GatorJ said:
Have you started a thread rating ANY of their products at less than 5 stars yet? Quite frankly, that starts losing credibility.

Because theres not a chance that a company can make TWO products worthy of a 5 star rating, correct???

Your point? I'm on your side BTW so you may want to reread my post. I'm also pretty sure you didn't instantly have 2,000+ posts the moment you signed up. ;)

Didn't you get the memo? High post count = knowledge :usa

See I just improved my post count by one - just my making this pointless post, which in turn has made me more knowledgeable

*Anyways, I am currently in the process of detailing my car and will post pictures shortly. With my Opti-Bond I diluted it 1:1 as the bottle states.

I may have a little more Bold and Bright left which I could test looks-wise for you, and can report the durability of Opti-Bond after I apply it. One thing I do notice is the Opti-Bond seems to be a bit darker/richer than Bold and Bright. Whenever I applied Bold and Bright the richness seemed to fade and almost evaporate from the tire after sitting an hour, I was finding myself having to do multiple applications.

Yeah, please let me know how the comparison of the two goes Josh. I do agree with you though on the Bold N Bright's richness fading after application. With all the rave I'm hearing about Opti-Bond and Optimum's reputation of making a wonderful product line, I'm thinking that the Opti-Bond will be the better option.

Your right. I mispoke

Will keep you updated on the durability - Have a pretty long drive planned for tomorrow as well as rain on Monday.

I like a very glossy (but not shilacky) finish like which Sonus gives but if a tyre gel doesn't last for at least two months on Ultra high performance soft compound tyres, then it ain't worth buying

Two weeks just aint good enough.

It's good that it is solvent free though, all tyre gels should be

JW satin protect is carlack 68 plastic care and I use that for preparing the tyres for Sonus (soon to be Ultima) tyre gel

It's a killer soapy polish for all sorts of material and is water based (silicone free) but durability on tyres is not great when used on it's own

You don't like any Optimum products, even new one's you haven't tried, we get it!

I figure if a tire dressing lasts 2 weeks, that is more than enough for me. I usually re-apply every wash anyways, and I wash my car 2 times a week.

Probably a little overkill but I like the "just detailed" look.
