Received yesterday and used it for the first time...

Not very happy with the results.

I washed my car, dried and then applied like written on the spraybotlle.

Spray on , wipe of with a MF

But I can't feel any difference in slickness before/after...

For the record, it's this one :

I used it in this way : spray one time on a panel and wiped it out with a dry MF.

Am I using too litlle, or do you need to use a damp MF or something else ?

...

Doesn;t need to be damp and you don't need to apply very much. One thing that you absolutely *need* to make sure of is that you shake it very, very well before use, and keep shaking it during use. It settles quickly, and if you spray without shaking well you'll just spray a bunch of watery goo on the car that does nothing. Also, when spraying make sure to give panels a full spray. I find if you just give it a half squirt you don't get enough "mix" of product and it seems to effect the slickness.

if your paint is in bad shape to begin with, no LSP is going to give you the amazing results that are commonly seen here. I don't know what condition your paint is in, but you said you just washed and then followed up with a wax. You didn't clay or polish whatsoever. those are critical steps to achieve the results that your looking for.

Ah, then I don't know what to tell you. If your only using one spray per panel, maybe your not using enough product? I know thin is the way to go, but one spray on a hood doesn't sound like enough to me...

I have found personally that OCW looks much better the next day after application. It usually takes 24 hours to cure and you should notice the finish glossier and slickness should be apparent as well.

I have used OCW on five different cars now and every car has a slick feel. If your car already feels slick in the first place than you will not feel a drastic different with OCW. Normally I divide the hood to 3 sections and for each section I will do 1 to 2 spray of OCW, this method works fine with me.

I like OCW but for me its not the slickest sealant out there. Surface feels good after application but not super slick for me.

I ordered it together with other items..

In Belgium, no product like this was available and I liked the quick and easy spray on/wipe off method.

Good for the colder winter months when you don't want to spend all afternoon in the freezing cold applying wax....

As I have been told, "slickness" may come at the cost of "durability" or perhaps more "gloss" may come at the price of less "durability".

So yes OCW may not be as slick as others but it may also have longer life then those also, or vice versa.

For example, the Optimum "beta" sealant David and myself are working on right now (I'm really giddy about this because it's going to be my first working of a formula :grinno: ) has no real gloss or slickness but man is this stuff durable.

Ron and I are pretty impressed with the longevity of it. I placed it on the hood of a Maserati about 5 months ago and it's just amazing how well the car washes and dries. Now we are working on the slickness and gloss factors but if the components that add those reduce durability I will most likely remove those and keep the formula the way it is as one can use OCW over it to get the gloss and slickness.

For the car in question, try claying one panel, polishing that panel and then applying just OCW to that panel. Wait 24 hours and then compare the results to what you first experienced.

Then I will clay, polish and wax (with OCW) half of the hoos, the other half I will clay, polish and prepare with S100 or Natty's (also ordered), then drive around in our cold weather for a month and see what the difference will be.

Like it is now, it's not the same "slickness" as when I use Swissol Samurai wax (the only Carnauba wax that I had so far)...

Now I have OCW, Natty's and S100.

OCW was mainly ordered for the winter months, easy on/off application....
