Optimum Power Clean vs. Amazing Roll-Off

I began using OPC for wheels and pre-soaks, so far very nice product. I like ARO for tires but personally prefer the eimann fabrik tire cleaner however that is a dedicated tire cleaner where ARO can be used on wheel wells and fabric tops etc.

You cant go wrong, just depends on the situational usage of the selected product in question

For me, it would be a product strictly for exterior cleaning(wheel wells, tires, engine degreasing, and stubborn dirt marks on the paint). I pretty sure ARO would be the best for my situational uses. :cornut:

I would think OPC actually. I believe, and I could be wrong, that OPC is safer on wheel finishes. As for paint, I havent seen anybody use ARO on paint but I know OPC is safe on paint.

Actually, ARO is clear coat safe for sure, so I would assume you can use it on clear coated wheels and clear coated paint without a problem. Then again, I could assume wrong.

Personally I wouldn't use ARO on the engine. Too many different materials in the engine. Love it for some wheels and have even used it on paint in some cases

Corey,

Good to see you on TID!!!

Do you use any type of APC or degreaser on engines?

Thank you Mark! I would recommend P21S Total Auto Wash.

I hear people talking Optimum. Haven't used this product from them but I haven't found an optimum product I don't like. On my Sky I have not sprayed with a water or used an engine cleaner. Only light cleaners, elbow grease, water directly from spray bottles, 303AP, etc. I keep up on it so often on that car nothing else is needed yet.

So you're saying, after the ARO, even though it helped, the tire still had some brown gunk and didn't look like it's original(as in new) form.

Before, it sounded like after you used the ARO, it was more brown than before you used ARO.

Z06, sorry for the confusion but yes my tire was a lot browner after I applied the 10:1 ARO. I was pressed for time, so I had to 'mask' off the 'brown' with some 303 protectant. In the process of applying the 303 my sponge applicator absorbed alot of brown gunk off the tire face which makes me believe that a stronger product ratio might've completely removed off the brown gunk.

I think when comparing OPC & ARO the product/water ratio is quite important. In my case, this was my own personal vehicle and I spent a fair amount of time trying to get the 'brown' out of my tires - however the 10:1 ratio was insufficient.

Well, it seems like it might be kind of annoying that you have to wet the surface every time before using ARO. OPC doesn't require that.
