Optimum Polishes watery?

I went to use my Optimum HC, OP, and OHC and they are kinda watery. I don't remember them being that runny. I bought them last year and just barely used them once trying them out. They are in my garage and it's heated and don't think they ever got to freeze or anything. Is that the consistency of them? Thx. All my other stuff is fine.

They do tend to separate if you don't shake them up. I make it a habit to shake my products once a month to prevent this from happening ...

Does that mean there no good? Or I just need to shake them up?

I remember them being watery. I remember taking a cap off and sticking a long screwdriver in to mix up what I thought would be on the bottom, but there was nothing. As I mentioned in a recent thread, the Optimum polishes seem to be mostly solvent/lubricant with less powdery abrasive stuff in them than other brands. That's why their cut is so pad dependent and why they don't dust. I'll qualify my remarks by saying I have the newer version of OP but the older of OHC and OC, and I got them a little less than 2 years ago.

My OHC seems the thinnest, as I get some sling from it. OC is not really thick, but a little thinner than OP. I *think* I have the newest versions, I got them last summer.

O.K. just wanted to make sure. What was the strongest cut the OHC or OC?

OHC is supposed to have the most cut, but I couldn't tell any difference between OHC and OC with my older versions.

I haven't need to use OC/OHC much, but on my friends truck he wanted to remove some RIDS from his hood. OC didn't do it but OHC did. I was using a LC white pad and a rotary. The paint on his truck was goofy to work on, the RIDS were hard to removed, yet the paint was so soft my clean soft dry MFs marred it horribly(they work fine on my Honda).



I did use OHC on a deep scratch on a painted plastic piece by PC once, It worked well for me there.

I had the same reaction when I used my OC recently. I hadn't used it for a few months. I shook it up as I normally do but when I squeezed it out, it came out more watery than I thought it would. What is the normal consistency? If I compare it to salad dressing, it should come out more like ranch dressing and not vinaigrette, right?

If you haven't used it in a while, shake it up real good. You will be able to feel it thicken as you shake it.

ive tried shaking it, but it doesnt get any thicker.
