Optimum Polish Recommandation

^^^^

that's what I am thinking......

but apparently..from what I read OP has a bit more cut than AIO or VM......so I was kinda confused that if I should invest on both or just buy the compound and call it a day.

I am going with either

VM--> Ex-P --> Natty's blue or AIO --> NXT

since i don't want to waste my supplies lol....

thx for the reply

However I think I'd be ok with OP (since my car is in OK condition...polish should be able to revive dull paint)

yellow pad w/ OP ---> Black pad VM --> sealant and wax by hand...

Hi JuneBug, I think they are referring that M83 takes time to breakdown using the DA. And it takes some practice, from what I read. If it's down breakdown completely then it won't remove the defect completely well. Maybe u guys that have work with it before could share some tips. My car is silver, so its very hard to see if it's broken down well..... :(

Thanks, I'm rethinking my "fill the cabinet with Meg's" thing. More and more I'm thinking about going all Optimum for compounds and polishes.

Honestly, I have never figured out the fuss over using #83. The directions are very clear. Work until nearly dry. That's it, there is your learning curve. Other than a little dusting, it is a terrific product. If it takes a long time to dry, you are using too much, just like with any other product. Work #83 until nearly dry (it clears out as it dries), it is an effective light to moderate swirl/defect remover and the excess is easy to wipe off.

How effective are the Optimum compound / hyper compound on correcting swirls and scratches on the new scratch resistant clears? The reason I ask this is that I found poorboys ssr3 with a lc orange pad / PC#6 just doesn't cut it. Mike...
