Optimum Poli-Seal not working for me

^^ Gotcha! Yeah, try my method for the tire shine. Allowing it to soak into the rubber before removal really heps give it a great look. If you can get the sun to bake the tire shine before you remove the excess, that helps even more.

Since you are a sealant guy, have you tried Opti-Seal? It's very good.

I did not try that yet. Would that be something I would still top with OCW ? I placed a relatively small order to try a few things , since I had used older versions and never tried ONR. So I thought I would give it another shot .

What would opti-seal give me over the poly-seal as far as looks go ? I'm under the impression the Poly-seal is an AIO,correct ?? That was kind of the first thing that threw me a little as I was getting no pop, high reflection , wet look from it as I'm used to with the DG105 which is an AIO type of product. Very noticeable different in reflection, clarity between the 2 products.

Another question I have is how long do I need to wait between coats of OCW ? At the present moment I have wiped my truck down (personal vehicle , not a customers ) with ONR used as a spray/wipe/QD since it was not dirty , and put a layer of OCW on top of it. The underneath coat is a DG sealant. I wonder if I should polish that off and start with the OPT stuff only ?

I know this stuff is good stuff , just need to learn the curve to it. Suggestions always welcome.

You can use OCW every day if you want. Opti-Seal definitely has a more sealant look than OCW. Since I prefer the look of carnaubas even on my own metallic grey car, I use Clearkote's Carnauba Moose and the next few times I wash it, I used Opti-Seal. Really adds a lot of wetness to the depth I get from CMW.

PoliSeal will also fill if you use it on a black pad on 3 on the PC and make fast passes overlapping 50%.

I'm on my 4th 32 oz bottle .. I use it a lot as an AIO base for sealants.

Poli-seal would probably work well by PC. Crank it up to speed 6-it has plenty of lubricating oils. By hand I'd give the edge to ColorX.

I absolutely love Poli-Seal, probably one of my most used products. Use it after proper prep and an IPA wipe, and it will remove any remaining marring and burnish the finish to a very high gloss.

As far as product useage...

Keep it super THIN when applying by hand. Remove immediately upon it lightly hazing.

It works GREAT by machine for me (PC) and removes light swirls VERY nicely. I love it as an AIO for general use. It also has very nice durability; so if I don't get anything on top of it for a bit I don't have to stress.

I could not find the answer to this question anywhere else, so I'll post it here:

How do you apply poli-seal on the pad of your PC (ie: the photo in "Autopia Guide to Detailing" under "Apply Polish to Pad")? You need so little of this stuff, do you just put a tiny drop on the edge of a pad, or what? What would the referenced picture look like with poli-seal on the pad?

Initially I put an X on the pad edge to edge with 4 dime sized dabs placed between the arms of the X in from the edge about an inch .. after that its just a thin spiral swirl on the pad when I need to add.
