Optimum or Menzerna ?

Hey guys,

another question I have after doing further searches on the forum:

I want the Menzerna line - I will get som RMG to do the 30/70 mix and help reduce dusting/increase work time. Now what, if any, Menzerna polishes you would replace with Optimum line when doing a car? It seems to me that maybe the added benefit of low dust, longer work time (less gumming up of pads), and more sun friendly would come in play somewhere (I cannot at this time afford to stock up several pads of each kind to just prevent gumming up). Thanks.

GR40 will remove it with no problem.

Most APC's will as well.

Mothers Powerpolish is one that is very overlooked. Easy to work with and leaves a great finish.

Yeah, but there are APC's that will stain plastic trim as well. GR-40 has worked very well on everything I've used it on.

Are there any pics comparing the finish between the two?



If a surface is swirl and micromarring free, would the finish be the same or darn near it? Wouldn't a LSP most likely hide the difference?

Hiding is temporary and I don't subscribe to it. *I* haven't been able to capture the difference with photos but it's plain to the eye that there is a difference.

GR-40 has worked very well on everything I've used it on.

I'll have to give -40 a try, sounds & from what i've seen, looks solid.
