Optimum Opti Bond?

Well guys the addiction continues! After reading all of the great reviews about all of the products out there I had to try some Opti Bond for myself. My question is for the guys that use this stuff, do you use it straight or diluted and in a spray bottle? It seems to me that a diluted spray bottle might be the ticket if so what is the dilution rate? Thanks in advance for any help, Jim

Also that Opti Bond purchase led me to try some Blackfire Paint sealant and some Stoners glass cleaner and some Sonus APC and some more microfiber towels and ....., where does it all end?

I use it straight but does not hurt to try it diluted. It does no harm to experiment? You can even do some side by sides.

Of course, application method will affect results: spray on tire or applicator then whether you buff later.

I have wanted to try this for a very long time. Based on everything I have read I think I would use it diluted with the Optimum Spray Gun. If the durability is even close tot he same when used either way this would make larger tire a breeze and get the most out of the product.

What type of shine level are you guys getting from Opti-bond? I actually like the "wet" look on my tires. Does Opti bond give this look....do you need multiple coats to achieve it?

I'm thinking of adding it to my spring order, so this will help me decide.

One coat has some shine. Multiple coats does increase shine.

It works just fine at 1:1.

I have used it straight and dilluted with great results. I love this stuff.

1:1 allows easier spraying and spreading, but undiluted works well, too. Try is both ways and see what you like.

Thanks for the information guys. I am going to give it a shot diluted in a spray bottle. Seems to be a really nice product and I really like the appearance. I just hope it holds up better than the off the shelf products I have used through the years.

I have been preaching the praise of Opti-Bond foe well over a year....Only tire dressing I use, 1:1 mix is perfect for a spray bottle, apply thin, allow to absorb ( 5 minutes) apply another this layer and tires look deep and black, durability is not compromised at all !! Fantastic product !! I put it up against ANY product out there !!

Do you spray it directly on the tire, or do you spray it on an applicator?

I can't wait to try the new Blackfire tire gel, but first I have to use the rest of my Meguiar's Endurance and a whole bottle of Ultima Tire & Trim Gel. It could be next year before I get to try Opti-Bond.

Of course you will loose some durability when you dilute.....thats why I apply 2 thin layers.

1:1 for easy spreading here too. This product is really versatile, i just don't use on my tires but also on my trims, keeps it black for around 4 wks, atleast for my daily driver.
