I cant believe this is the first im hearing of it though. the only thing that bogles my mind is that theres no rinsing. i know its different from just washing a car and then drying it with out rinsing soap off but its still wierd to me. damn new products! damn this site for making me spend money.

I HEAR YOU - my garage is starting to look like a retail outlet!

I am just about finished with my Quick and Easy wash and I think I am going to grab a gallon of this stuff. Whats the best place to get it price wise?

Check the sponsor threads.

You can order it from Optimum direct with free shipping (for the gallon size) - other places have it lower priced but I am not too sure about the shipping cost

I was wondering the same thing. No worries though I ordered from one of our forum sponsers and gave them the business. Order was placed 1 hour ago and I already have a ups tracking number

well I always at least do an immediate wipe down with a cleaning quick detailer after ONR.

No film. And if I use a spray gloss/wax its all wet shine.

Do you guys see a slight film after using it? Seems like it goes away but after whiping at it with a dry microfiber I can see it.

Leaving it too long before you dry can produce a slight film. But if used normally it shouldn't leave a film at all. I use the blotch technique when drying, get it fairly dry (where it's just slightly damp on the surface) then give it a spritz of OCW and finish wiping with a nice plush microfiber. You wax and dry at the same time :chuckle:

lol I'm using the 6oz/gallon ONR mix for a QD. I must be leaving it on too long..I presoak with a pesticide sprayer and then hit a panel at a time.

Don't you run a risk of having some dirt still on your car if you just blot off the ONR? Then as you wipe with the OCW, you are rubbing it back into your paint? The ONR is supposed to buffer/surround the dirt to reduce the risk of the dirt damaging the paint. If you blot it off, you lose that "protection." Just a thought. I'm no expert.

Perhaps I wasnt' clear enough. What I mean is I using a sheepskin washmit soaked in ONR solution, I wash the particuler panel, then using a WW towel I blotch the area I just washed. This gets the panel 90% dry, it will be slightly damp to the touch. Then instead of drying the panel completely, I give it a spritz of OCW and wipe it 100% dry with a super plush MF towel.

There shouldn't be any dirt left on the car after washing it with an MF mitt. Otherwise I'd be marring when I dry, which I don't. This method works perfectly. Infact the "blotch" dry technique has been discussed thoroughly using ONR before, and is concidered one of the safest ways to dry (no "whiping" motion). I simply spritz OCW for a little added protection while Im on the very last finishing step of drying. This isn't harfull at all. If you're paint is still dirty at this stage you're doing something wrong.

I just detailed a blue with white stripes Ford GT yesterday and the people at the dealer saw me wiping the car down with ONR prior to polishing it and by thier curious looks I told them what I was using and what it did.

They were impressed by it but when one of the guys went into the showroom to tell his superior I could hear the guy saying there was no way that would work...."That's going to scratch the cars, I'd like to see him do that to a black car!"

Well I did. I mixed some up, he picked the truck....a black HUGE Ford sitting outside. I did half the hood, one fender and one door. I purposely use a white microfiber towel to dry with so I can visually show people that after being wiped with the ONR mixture there is no dirt left on the surface as evidenced by a clean white drying towel.

Needless to say he was impressed and became a believer. :cooleek:

Ive never tried this stuff... Im curious now. It just seems... soooooo... wrong. Ya know? Im willing to try it out thought.

It truly is great stuff! I used QEW for about a year and switched over to NRWS when it came out after rave reviews here. I finished up the 32 oz. size and then bought a gallon. The only problem is that it leaves such a great shine that I no longer have to follow the wash up with a QD like Quikshine!
