Optimum MF Pads - Help Me Understand

I am fairly experienced, so I don't want to come off as a real novice. I'll be honest that I haven't read much about the MF polishing/cutting pads due to little time. I currently have a full compliment of LC foam pads which work well in 99% of the cars I detail, bot customers' and my own.



I guess I am looking to get a handle on what the true advantages of the MF pads are. Cutting speed/power? Ease of cleaning? I am a bit unclear. I am interested in them, but want to see if it is truly worth the investment and what upside I will see if I swtich from foam to MF, or at least use them here and there.



Any thoughts, advice, experience are appreciated!

I found they will cut like wool, but more gently at a slower speed and finish down nicer than wool. Also less dusting with them. They also work better on the GG 6" than the PCXP.
 
I like the MF pads. They cut quicker in most cases than foam pads, finish nicely and use less product. They do take a little getting used to. I recommend ordering just a couple of MF pad to give them a shot. For less than 10 bucks they are worth the cost. Even if you choose not to use them as your go-to, you will still likely find a use for them on certain paints.
 
MFs and the surbuf pads are great for one step DA or RO correction for a better than foam cut but the same finish quality as mid grade foam



Dont get rid of your foams though mate, I'm adding Rayon pads to my lineup as well. foams will always be great to have on hand for the ultimate final finish.
 
For me it boils down to "time is money". I find can polish and finish a vehicle a lot faster with MF than with foam.
