Optimum Leather Protectant

I ordered what i thought was a 17oz bottle of Optimum Protectant Plus. when i got it, it was a bottle of Optimum Leather Protectant. Are they the same thing and thats just what they call there 17oz. bottle? Should i use this the same as you would OPP ?

Its the same functional product.



I inquired with Dr. G of Optimum and his direct answer with me over the phone was that they were the same base product but the new OLP was thicker to spread easier on leather/vinyl surfaces and the fragrance has changed nominally.



I've used both; they both perform the same save for the very minor variance in application "feel".



You got the right stuff, you'll still love it and the new OLP formula is a bit easier to apply overall.

so are you saying the olp smells better?

Ditto on the product similarity. So far as smell I prefer O.P.P.

They both smell pretty close; OLP now has a little less of the chemical "bite" and is a *little* sweeter or more "leathery". Both have pretty non-descript near-nonexistent smells.



Neither has a noxious lingering smell like say PB Nat. Look (which smells of cherry pepto for a couple of days).
