Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer Five Stars

Got the concentrate from AG. Nice cleaning, nice gloss boosting factors, but seems to streak a little bit more than UQD. Otherwise really good QD.

So the concensus is that OID is better than UQD?

BUT! Is it hydrophobic? :chuckle:

Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer utilizes flouropolymers, which are strong and durable polymers that also happen to be extraordinarily slippery. Nothing sticks to them. In fact, Teflon is made with flouropolymers. Flouropolymers give Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer its repellency to dirt, dust, oil, and grime.

i had the oppurtunity to try oid, i ordered a gallon, and i'm blown away by it, never used anything like it. i know this is gonna sound like i'm coming from left feild but i used it 3 days in a row and i swear the gloss and depth get better and better, is it possible this stuff layers? i know it sounds crazy but i know what my eyes see and this stuff is sick. very, very slick and glossy, almost not real, and you can't beat the price.

Which is better ? Optimum Instant Detailer or Surf City Speed Demon. I'm ready to pull the trigger. I've already used Speed Demon and like it but I'm wondering if Optimum is better. Any comments would be appreciated.

A 17oz of OID is only $10, it's not a huge investment and you won't be disappointed. I haven't tried the Speed Demon, but surf city makes good stuff too.

We are in the heavy pollen season right now. With the OID the pollen just blows of the car. I have not seen another product do that.

I think if you use a little less product you can eliminate the streaking.

Had the opportunity to use OID in humid conditions yesterday. 70 degrees with about 70% humidity. Some minor streaking. Nothing major. Spraying my mf with 1 trigger shot and wiping my paint seemed to work best in terms of less streaking in the humidity. Over all, i still love this stuff! As for others claims that OID is better than "insert your favorite QD here"........ It's clearly made my personal top 10 favorite QD list. (and any 1 of them could occupy the #1 spot for different reasons)

I will compare with Danase Turbo Shine. I like the Turbo's slickness and it doesn't streak--its very underrated and I'm a QD addict. Just bought the smaller bottles of both to test. Kinda hoping the OID knocks my socks off since you can get a gallon's worth out of the 32oz bottle.
