Optimum compound vs. SSR 2.5

I have 2 jeeps that I am going to try and remove the dealer installed swirls from once the weather warms up enough to bear it. Which would you guys use to take care of the light to medium swirls. Also what pads. I have some po85rd also and I figured I would use that to polish and remove any haze. I have a PC and a rotary but am still fairly new with the rotary. I am open to any opinions. Thanks for the help
 
I tried the regular OP polish with a Rotary & a light Cutting pad. It worked Awesome. But did nothing for the Oxidized surface becasue the Pad turned BLACK after one panel after i clayed the entire car. The car was light green. I then switched to White polishing Pad(rotary) and it too turned BLACK very BLACK :yes: ! and not much improvement. I then decided to go with SSR 2.5 and Organce LC pad (PC)' . It was able to remove some haze and add a little more shine compared to Optimum polish. It was a good way of me knowing what to use on an oxidized car. SSR 2.5 with a PC is a BAD ASS! combo.

It was a weird detail. Im not sure if the PC or the SSR 2.5 did the work But the OP with a polishing pad did nothing. It was also the first time i had worked on a badly oxidized hood. :yes: Althou i did get better results with the Optimum Polish on cars that have no oxidation. :eat:
 
I find that 2.5 works better for me on a pc and optimum works better on a rotary. Either product will do a good job for you and you should be able to go to your LSP after that without having to step down to a less aggressive product.
 
I found SSR2.5 better with a pc than with a rotary

I find that SSR2.5 with a pc has better "cut" than Optimum Compound and Optimum Polish and has an enormous work in time compared to ssr series

if you do choose ssr2.5 follow with 1 or a pre-sealant
