Our 2005 Dodge Magnum RT just rolled over 100,000 miles.

Since we purchased the car 4 years ago we have put 71k miles on it through Michigan summers and winters.



Here are a few pictures from today. I have washed it this past summer/fall with Optimum Car Wash, and I have used OID as the drying aid. It has Collinite 476 as the LSP on it [applied 4-5 months ago], but it is topped with Optimum products. I have a spray bottle with DI water, ONR, OID, and OCW mixed together. A light spritz wipes on, lightly cleans, buffs off, and leaves a very very slick finish. Opti-Bond was applied on the tires.

The most notable blemish is a deep rock chip :doh:

It needs another light polish, but for 100k miles it does look fairly good. Our other vehicles have hit 175k, 205k, and 150k before being sold, hopefully we can get another 100k out of this one
 
Nice. Amazing what the power of being a Detailer can do to the longevity of a vehicle!! Perfect look for the tires too.
 
Very nice. There's no way anyone would believe the mileage. I've seen 30k cars look so bad.



Is that Inferno Red?

For some reason the OB is infinitely more finicky on the General Grabber UHP's than on the Kuhmo's on my car, regardless of how well I clean the tires. But I agree, it does look great.

Yes, the 2005 PEL, not the more "orange" PEH.



However, PEL looks pink when it hasn't been polished :/
 
Wow that car looks like new! I think few people outside detailing enthusiasts really understand how much good paint maintenance does for a car. Not only do I find washing and detailing a car satisfying, I view it as a good way for preserve the most value in a depreciating asset.
 
Great job keeping the car looking better than new! So many consumers let their ride go to $hit and then they end up spending money on a new car much sooner than they anticipated.

That is what I believe. It is such a large financial investment that it only makes sense to take care of it.

So true..although with the housing market being the way it is a car might have been a better investment ;).
