Opti-seal has been Polycharged!!!!

Well everyone knew I would do it. Used about 1/2 oz of Opti-Seal and one dose of polycharge. Shake well. Apply as usual. Works EQUAL to non PC OS. Durability, I'll never know because the RX8 is a test rotary rocket for MDRX8 NASA Division. I would NOT recommend Polycharging OS. There appears to be no gain in performance except maybe a little less streaking when you over apply (as I always do) OS. Well what next? How about polycharging Autoderm.....Hey that may work better.....Anyone with products for me to try on the Rotary Rocket please send a sample and I'll try it. ZOOM-ZOOM

I just dont buy the whole polly charger thing. 90% of the people who love detailing would never let their LSP sit that long without re-applying or wiping it out and starting over with something new.

FOR ME THAT'S ABSOLUTELY TRUE

It may be worth it on the cars you detail for folks that get the once a year detail (whether they need it or not!) whew!

Exactly. I care for my car, my gf's car, both her parents' cars, her sister's van, her bro-in-law's truck, a good friend's M3 and his wife's Legacy, etc., etc. Most of those cars I see once a year, twice if they're lucky. Now instead of feeling as though I have to use one of my most durable sealants for those cars, I have my whole selection of LSPs to choose from again.

FWIW,

I agree, I don't usually go more than a few weeks without changing something or trying something new. Even in winter it is rare for my car to go mre than 6 weeks on the same LSP.

Go ahead and do it!!!! I want to know your findings also!

Ok. Used P21s GEPC, then OS+PC and CS+PC. Application was exactly the same as non-PC'd, and the PC'd OS dried faster than the PC'd CS. As a control, I did the same prep on a section of my roof, but used OS and CS straight. Slickness was a little bit better for the PC'd OS and CS, but not by much. I used PCH2O, two doses for 2oz of product.

I will monitor durability by using #00 tech wash.

Good to hear. I think we need a new abbreviation for polycharge (pc) since we are using that for the, well "PC". How about PYC or something else?

My point EXACTLY about any talk about durability!

FWIW, PC'd OCW seems to have a bit more slickness, and held up better to the rain than non-PC'd OCW for me. I should be testing PC'd Z2Pro sometime next month, and I have begun testing PC'd OS and CS.

Simply put, not all the cars you detail are your own.
