Opti-seal Grabbing On the Paint?

Just used opti seal for the first time on my accord, I used it over a well cured coat of souveran but the applicator was grabbing bad on the paint.



Any way to remedy this?
 
A few others have had the problem, but I think you will find that if you "prime" your pad, you wont have the problem anymore.
 
I posted the same a few weeks ago. Then I did another car this past week with poly-seal, then OS and it cut down on the grabbing-I did have a liitle bit of streaking or smearing though, but the results were worth it. Still trying to get it right!!
 
Everytime I have used it, I either had a very clean car, or went over it first with Megs #34. You might want to make sure it isnt stuck on anything.
 
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW what a product gives a nice wet shine and I had no streaks at all. Depending on water beading and durability this might be my go to sealant for customers!
 
I just poli-sealed my car yesterday in preperation for the OS today and it is still grabbing to the point it wants to pull the pad out of my hand.



BTW I dropped the bottle and it landed on the pump and broke the nozzle off. anybody have a new pump they could send me? I can paypal shipping cost.
 
Read in another thread a complaint that the applicators were too large and it doesnt grab on a smaller applicator.

Mine grabs but works just great all the same. I noticed the grabbing on subsequent coats so it wasn't the product underneath that was the problem.

Sorry to hear some of you are having this issue. I get some grabs every once in a while also but I also notice that as long as the pad is wet with product I get a much smoother operation.

More or less pressure on the pad?



I notice that if I try to move the pad in a fast or rapid motion that it will grab.
 
I found the solution is to just work through it.



Anyone having any dispensing issues? It seems like the hand that I'm holding the Optiseal bottle in gets soaked in Optiseal.....leaking spray bottle?
 
Until the surface of the supplied pad is fully primed, it can be a little grabby. I don't have any problems using the somewhat smaller Meguiars foam hand pads. Usually the problem only occurs when simply adding OS after a wash.
