Opti-Coat Question

How long does Opti-Coat need to cure before it is safe to put blue painters tape on it?

Not sure, I haven't run into a need to tape a car after using it. 24 hours perhaps?

I'd go with the above. I think Justin said it's 12hrs before you should let it (opti-coat 2.0) get wet and even longer before you should use soap on it. Temperature will play a role in the curing too.



Just curious, why would you need to use tape it right away?

A few days ago, I did the front of my car (correction, then OC). Wanted to tape the back edge of front fenders so there was no chance of buffer contact when doing the front doors. I have since figured a way to accomplish this without tape.

Also....had sent this question to Optimum. Dr.G responded saying to wait at least a week. First time using OC. It looks amazing!
