Opti Bond vs Z-16?

Looking for a new tyre dressing. Had some Z-16 put on 2 tyres yesterday and really liked the matt factory look it gave, and the ease of use with a simple wipe on and no buff needed.



Also heard good stuff about Opti-Bond and had good success with other Optimum products.



Any thoughts on which lasts best and how the look compares between the 2 of them?

3M Tire Restorer has a deep black matte finish with no buffing. Has been lasting me about a month. Also heard good things about Black Magic Matte Tire Dressing, but haven't tried it.
 
Black Magic Matte Tire dressing is GREAT.



Don't have pics but it dries PERFECTLY.



It has a look that is very similar to PB Bold n Bright (applied, then buffed)...but the BM Matte lasts a LOT longer and dries slightly quicker.



I generally don't like BM's regular formula but I'm probably swapping to the BM Matte.

Well, I just realized you're over the pond so you may not get BM products over there.



Here's the exact one I'm talking about...

Black Magic Titanium Matte Tire Finish



Its an OTC product that I tried because it was on sale so I figured I'd try it; turns out I actually like it and its a nice product :LOLOL



But if you like Z16; I'd stay with it because OptiBond is notably glossier.
 
I think the glossiness of Z16 depends on the surface it is being used on. I find on my tires it's medium glossy. I tried in on interior vinyl and it was super glossy. On other tires it may be more matte looking.
 
I'm a huge fan of Opti-Bond. I agree that you may need to buff it down for a matte finish, but to me, it's worth it. I've been putting off buying some Z-16, but as of now, I have a plethora of tire dressings.



Pickle, try the OB...you won't be disappointed.
 
Same here. The durability isn't spectacular, but it's better than average. I'll apply the first coat to all the tires, wait 20-30 minutes, then buff it down.

I've tossed this out and about before, but Z16 is my absolute go-to. Two lights coats and a buff leave you with a matte black finish that is remarkably durable. It is a little more effort to get a matte finish if you use it on plastic trim. I tend to use the residue on the sponge for this purpose. Bonus for truck owners - it adds some gloss to running board/nerf bar pads without making them slippery.
 
Gonna resurrect this question. Seems like Zaino might have a slight edge so here's my nuance to the question - does it have enough of a differnce from optibond to warrant a separate order just for it?



I'm going to order some ONR and I could easily order some optibond at the same time BUT I could also make a separte order from Sal for Z16 because I hear it's the best and I've been curious to try Zaino products? Which would you do?
