akimel said:With all the excellent paste waxes available, it's hard to think of a good reason for Optimum to commit the resources to develop yet another paste wax in an over-loaded market. What would distinguish it from all the others? Are many people going to buy a paste wax just because it is made and sold by Optimum?

akimel said:Given that durability is the decisive concern in this thread, perhaps one question to ask is: Are paste waxes characteristically more durable than liquid waxes? Correct me if I'm wrong, but based on what I have read, I think the answer may be no.
We first note that some paste waxes are more durable than others. Collinite 476s & 915, FK 1000p, and Meg's M16 are noted for their relative durability; but many other paste waxes are known for their relative lack of durability, e.g., Souveran, the Nattys, Lusso Oro, P21S. What seems to be most important is the ingredients used. (The more synthetic the better?)
Secondly, the most durable paste waxes are well matched, if not exceeded, by the most durable liquid waxes. Zaino and Klasse immediately come to mind. Some sealants in the Duragloss line also enjoy a reputation of strong durability. Also Collinite 845.
When it comes to durability, do paste waxes have an advantage over liquid synthetic waxes?
