Opinions on ClearBra and Similar Products

I've had a clear bra on most of my vehicles, a Silver BMW 330i, a Mineral Gray 2002 Ford Exporer, a Seal Gray Porsche 996, and a Silver 2006 Honda Odyssey.

There are numerous 'brands', i.e. Xpel, StonGard, Invisible Patterns, Stoneshield, etc. Many members, BradB comes to mind has installed a clear bra on his vehicle and for many others with no problems. It just takes patience and a little elbow grease.

However, if you are not inclined to try and install yourself then you will have to pay a little more for installation. It's important to go with a kit that you like, not all kits are cut the same. Some kits may have several pieces while other kits may be 1 large piece. Also, do you want the film to go around the edges or have edges exposed, e.g. at the front of your hood? Also check on film thickness, all films are not created equal. You don't have worry about this on the more established brands but maybe so on the not so familiar brands.

Well worth it and like others have said, SEARCH is your friend. There a ton of threads out there about this topic.

Good luck!

Well, looks like the ClearBra will have to wait. Tonight on the way home, I was forced to straddle a pile of old carpeting right in my lane. I had no chance whatsoever to swerve or even slow down due to traffic. My lower grille was pushed in and the bottom of the bumper was scuffed and scratched. I popped the grille back into place, but the scratches will have to be dealt with at a later time. Hopefully they will polish out. Also, the carpet "wad" pushed the rear bumper upward and popped out the red reflector, which is nowhere to be found. Luckily, the reflector is a cheap part. I just hope the scratched polish out! Now I KNOW I need a ClearBra! I just can't win.
