Opinion on some CG products

I bought a gallon of their EXTREME V.R.P. SHINE & SEALANT DRESSING and a gallon of their Leather Scent Air Freshener.

I bought the VRP to dilute and use for wheel wells and as an undercarriage spray…I used it today and it worked real well…. dries to the touch and leaves a nice new looking shine.

I’m a little disappointed in their Leather Scent, it smells a little like leather, but has a weak smell and doesn’t last very long.

I don’t know if they changed the formula or if it’s always been like this, my gallon has a brownish tent to it…kind of like an apple juice color, in the picture on their web it’s a clear liquid.

Anyone else use this…..sound about right?

Appearance sounds dead-on, but the scent of mine is VERY powerful and lasts fairly long (you get used to it though).

Thanks Sherman

My co-worker has an 07 Escalade that smells like a big catchers mitt on wheels…love it!!

I may have been expecting too much from an “air freshener.

I have their leather scent. It isn't all that strong, but does smell like I thought it would. It typically lasts (for me) about two days. I do get used to it very quickly though. I doubt I'd buy it again. I like the smell of Meg's QID enough to suffice for now.

I also have some of their leather scent and love it as well. Not overpowering but the aroma is there and seems to stick around longer than just a couple of days for me. Like Sherman8r44 said , perhaps you're getting used to it.

The VRT is a great dressing for the interior. However, it runs when you use it on the exterior. Go with the CG New Look Trim Gel for exterior use. No running at all. It's terrific on tires & trim.

Thanks for the advice BlkTac05, however I bought VRP to cut and use to add a low sheen to clean wheel wells without looking oily, I don't use it on anything else.

DG #235 for tires.

303 for interiors.

PS

The CG site calls it VRP and VRT...The jug says VRP:nixweiss
