Hey Nick I checked out the three Royal names mentioned and these .com websites are taken. If you are not going to use the net then you do not have a problem.

Now if you are going to use the net put on your thinking cap head over to GoDaddy and start checking your idea names.

I just thought of one .com name that is available - sending a PM.

Nick,

DO NOT use GoDaddy or any hosting company site for checking if names are available, EVER!

Use internic.net (InterNIC is a registered service mark of the U.S. Department of Commerce. It is licensed to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) for searching if a name is available.

GoDaddy as well as most of the Hosting Companies are set up to automatically register the names you search. So, you get a message that says something like, "that name is currently taken but GoDaddy can purchase it for you for $(enter ungodly sum of money).

Use Internic.net to search then purchase at the hosting company of your choice.

P.S. Don't forget to check the name you want with .net two of those are available.

awesome, thanks for the help guys. havent really put much thought behind a website right now. once things pick up i will. i like that internic site biiiiig help.

Royal *whatever* - Because you deserve the red carpet treatment too

Royal *whatever* - Not all luxuries are reserved for kings

Royal *whatever* - Treating your vehicle with nobility

Random tag lines that popped into my head while reading this thread.

Hi,

Some good suggestions, especially about domain names. Be sure to have something compatible from the start.

Curious...............why "Royal"?? Not to be critical, but I think the "royal" thing is worn out/blasse'. I see (locally, of course) different businesses with advertisements/promos with "king", "royal", using a "crown", etc. all the time. If it's your last name, that might be different. Again, just my opinion, but how about some other name options?

How about a little on-line business name brainstorming for our friend here???

Use a variant/something related to:

> Where you live

> Your last name/first name, initials

> Something special about your area/geography/something you live close to

> Something that is a favorite of yours.......(like this, although you might worry about trademark infringement......but, as an example....if you lived in NYC/Bronx....maybe your business name could be "NY Pinstripe Car Care" - World Champion's of Detailing. A little bit hoaky, but something a lot of people in that area might recognize. Of course, there is always the chance that that particular reference is over used in the Bronx.. Get my drift?

> ?????? There have to be a lot of other things that we all could bounce around.

Hope this helps.

Just my opinion................I could be wrong! :)

See ya. :wavey

no i kind of agree about it being played out, but its the only thing thats sticking out in my head. i would love for something else but im in a "name block" lol.

and ya i thought about the area thing, im in roseville (a sacramento suburb) and know as the river city, but its played out.
