I was trying to get some opinions on what you guys think a best overall combo would be , Using a rotary buffer ?

Also this would be appying to used cars, with mild to light swirls and light to mild scratch's

Thanks

The best? That's a four letter word on here.

Might be a chance (with a rotary) to try out the XMT series by Pinnacle (www.pinnaclewax.com or something like that). Pinnacle makes good stuff.
I like the Poorboy's Line.
SSR2.5
SSR1
EX-P (unless it's an older finish, then EX)
Natty's Blue
Wheel Sealant
Trim Restorer
Bold 'n' Bright
That covers just about all the exterior you would need. Some use Natural Look on tires, I should try that.

I've also found good combo's in Automagic, Farecla, Mothers and Meguiars.

Im really thinking of jumping on the Poorboys bandwagon , can someone give me a step by step after clay & wash? with a rotary and what pad i should use with these products?

I have found that, with the rotary, that Optimum products work really well. I love Poorboy's with a PC. A general step-by-step process with no products is:
Wash
Clay
Strong Polish (for swirled vehicles)
Final Polish (clean up hazing, small swirls, etc)
Paint Cleaner or Glaze (not needed on everything)
Sealant and or wax (sealant first, wait 24 hours then apply wax if you want)

For a PB lineup I'd do, SSR 2.5 polishing pad (strong polish), SSR1 polishing or finishing pad (finish polish), Pro Polish or PwC and then top with the EX or EXP and then the wax- Natty's if you want.

My favorite and the combo I use the most is:

Wash
Clay
Optimum Hyper Compound @1200-1500 (if needed)
Optimum Polish @1200-1500
Menzerna FPII or Po85rd @1500

Then one of my lsp's which is typically:

Pink wax, #2180, nattys blue, souveran, or #21.

What are you using today?

If it was me..... (assuming you'll have some volume).

I'd use Optimum Polishes, and Optimum Car Wax for protection (spray on/wipe off). It's a very effective combo, low cost, and has decent durability. All things considered... Optimum also looks pretty good on most any color.

.

Go for it!

I would stick with a polish and finish pad only for Poorboys polishes. Based on my use, 1000-1400 RPM's would be the speed band that I'd stick to. That said, I'm not as well versed with PB's SSR's as some others around here. Hopefully others will jump in and share what works best for them.

Steve is a good guy.

Give him a call and he'll line you up with the products that meet your needs.

I second the Optimum line up. Here's my go-to combo:

Optimum Hyper Compound (I can skip this is a lot of cars)
Optimum Polish
Presta Swirl Remover
Longevity Sealant
And a new one, Natty's Blue
