I hear you. I`ve bought that way before, and that`s exactly why i called as soon as I saw the post. The ebay auction was still up. When I spoke to the rep, it sounded like it was still avail, (hence the letting it bid out?). I called 9am PST.
Sorry about that, it has been awhile since we have done eBay open box deals. I am listing a couple of rules below that are set in stone, and I have let Ray and Paul know about these rules, so everybody should be on the same page. If you call and somebody is uncertain about your question, just ask to transfer to me. If I am not at my desk at the moment, ask to transfer to my voicemail and leave a message, I will give you a call back. The eBay rules also change sometimes, depending on different circumstances, I will let you guys and gals know if anything major changes.
A couple major rules that don`t change are: If an item has too many bids, I can not cancel all those bids. Also if an item has only 1 day left for auction and has a bid, I can not cancel the bid. If an item is just posted and has a few bids or no bids I can place an order over the phone for it, and be able to cancel the eBay listing. I can only sell that item for the highest bid price at that moment.
Example: I listed an item for $100.00 and the highest bid is $130.00, I have to sell it for $130.00 if you call in and place the order over the phone.
Hope this helps for future eBay sales. :bigups
