ONR: When NOT to use it

Sometimes using a hose is necessary, but I absolutely hate it. If ONR and the other rinseless washes suddenly went away, I'd get out of detailing completely. I hate conventional washing that much.

You're pretty much 100% mobile, right?

If so, I could completely understand that. I dislike using other peoples water, you never know what kind of sediment is in it, plus it becomes pretty difficult to wash in the sun.. ONR changes that completely...

Not pretty much, I am fully 100% mobile.

What is really funny is all the customers I have who are so amazed when they watch me use ONR on their cars they end up ordering it and microfiber towels as well. Makes my job easier the next time because they aren't marring their cars up because they have a better understanding of how to wash their car safely.

When the car is caked in mud, otherwise, this level of dirt is no problem at all.

Wait a sec, have I been doing it wrong the whole time with ONR? I've been rinsing my car off prior to using ONR, can you just go strait from bucket to a dry car? By the above photos its sure looks like it, if so, thats going to make my life SWEET!

No need to pre-rinse unless the car is caked in mud. Rinse-less means rinse-less.

I use both ONR and traditional 2BM.

ONR is a bit faster and more convenient but really only because there's less setup and cleanup involved.

Like a lot of people, I actually enjoy doing a traditional wash when time allows.

It's therapeutic and oddly satisfying, even though setup and cleanup is a bit of a hassle.

Even with the traditional wash I like to use a couple of squirts of ONR in both the wash and rinse buckets.

But when washing my gf's car in her apt complex, it's def ONR.

and when it's balls-up cold outside, ONR in hot water can't be beat.

If you do things right and use common sense, both methods can give you mar-free washes.

I guess for some people there is still no love for ONR.

Heh heh, note that I was being a *little* facetious as I do use it for mid-detail cleanups, between-wash wheel cleanings, and things like that ;)
