ONR Media

Can some of you guys post what exactly you use as your wash media with this stuff and where you may have gotten it?

I think I have tried just about all of them except the LC Ultimitt, which I will when it arrives. I have tried sponges (grout, misc.), sheep, chenille mitts/pads, MF mitts/towels, blue microchenille, and schmitts. My favorites are 1) TW Chenille Square Mitts (2.99) and 2) High Quality Sheepskins (excel detail $5-11). I love the TW Chenille mitts I buy a ton of them when on sale for about $2. They compress well so I can rinse them and run them over the grit guard easily. They release the dirt well and are super soft. Plus, they are white you can see if they need extra cleaning. I use a couple of them when ONR'ing. I let them soak in DG 903 soap and rinse them out after use, they come almost new and last me for weeks.

I have the Grout Sponges but really like the Chenille Wash Mits as they will hold a lot of solution. The sponges are good and I may end up going that route but for now I will continue with the Chenille.

I have uses

-a mf mitt

- a sheep skin mitt

- a chenille mitt (my fav)

- a mf towel

They have all worked great and done a great job. Anything you can wash a car with using normal soap will also work with onr.

I have found the chenille mitt works best becasue it traps all the dirt but lets it go in the bucket. Plus there cheap :D

I have used sheepskin. I am getting a Nano Detailing Mitt from Surf City tomorrow and I'm gonna try out DP four in one with it :D.

I just used a simple Vroom MF towel to wash with using ONR and it worked fine, it rinsed rally clean and washed up with some Super Green - I dried it outside on my fence and you couldn't tell it was covered it grease and grim a hour before.

You may want to throw your wash medium in the washer instead to make sure all particles and other crap are out of the mitt. Even if it gets clean, drying it on your fence something is bound to blow onto it waiting for the next time you wash your car.

LOL Spoiledman!!!! and his following!

I used to use sponges a long time ago, the Meguiar's one was awesome because it would release dirt so well. I have gone to HD many times and have never found really good grout sponges. Natural sponges are good too, but they are a bit of a hassle to use.

I just bought a grout sponge and I tried it on a panel but it didn't seem to glide as well as a chenille covered sponge. Maybe I bought a stiff one?

I have 2 or 3 chenile mitts but cant remember where I got them. I have the green ones. Where do you guys order yours?

MF covered foam wash pads. Found them at Big Lots for $2 each back in late July. Bought 5 of them, still on the first two...and I wash a hell of a lot of cars!
