ONR for QD with AIO???

So after searching for a while, I'm trying to find out a few things. I've got a bunch on QEW left over and the weather here isn't really too bad where I'm going to use too much more. I'm going to use some of it to make some QD, but I have a few questions.

1. What is the dilution ratio. I'm finding a lot of threads about using it a QD strength, but what IS QD strength?

2. I remember hearing something once before about adding a capful of KAIO to the QEW/ONR QD to add a little protection, shine, and lubrication. Anyone try this or hear of this? How well does it work?

Thoughts?

6:1 for QD, 6:1 plus an ounce of denatured alcohol per 32 oz total for glass cleaner.

Never added AIO to either rinseless wash, no idea how it would work.

Optimum will have a dedicated OD out hopefully before the end of February, works really well.

Ok, Got the ratio. It doesn't say it on the QEW bottle.

What about the AIO? Anyone try it or hear of it? It sounds like it would work.

Well, since nobody has heard of this or tried it, I decided to give it a go. I mixed up some QEW and water 6:1 in a 16 oz bottle and then added a litle KAIO. Did half of the wing with it and half of the rear hatch window. The other half I did with standard meguairs mist and wipe. I left a small strip in the middle of each without anything (car was pretty clean). both areas cleaned up no problem with the QD and felt clean and slick. The homemade QD did require a quick final wipe after about 10 seconds of being dry though (probably the AIO). I washed the car today (warm front coming through VA) and when I hit the areas with water, I saw 3 differnt results:

Uncleaned area, nothing noticible. Water just kinda beaded up

Meguiars area, water sheeted off pretty well leaving some beads behind

Homemade QD, water quickly sheeted right off leaving only a few small beads behind

Sorry, no pics. I needed to get the car washed.

Final thoughts....Nothing magical created here, but I think that the AIO helped. The added AIO left a little slicker finish and sheeted pretty well. I think that all in all, adding the AIO kinda helped out a little bit in terms of a little added protection, but probably just the same as any regular QD that has a liquid carnuba or protectant added to it already. If you're making your own ONR QD at home, might be worth giving a little addition of AIO the the mix.

you do know the AIO will be tough on your LSP

I am sure it removes more protection then it will leave behind

Yea, I thought about that earlier today. That's why I think a liquid wax would work better because it doesn't have the cleaners in it.
