ONR for motorcycles?

For those of you that use ONR on bikes, I am wondering how you do the engine? Scottwax I know you have mentioned using ONR on Harleys, Probably 90% Of Harleys have flat black engine finish, and I have been wondering how you do the engines with ONR. I see some seriously dirty engines and could not imagine not taking S100 to them and rinsing well. Besides water spotting, bikes tend to stink when they are heating up and have not been rinsed well. How do you do the engines with a no rinse method? Not to mention the tires. Every bike I do, I swear they have NEVER cleaned the tires. I have to scrub multiple times with Mothers tire and rubber cleaner. Any tips to save time?
 
If a bike is really dirty, it is better to use S100 Total Cycle Cleaner instead of ONR, but it is a product you have to rinse very well, maybe even aggitate around the engine as you rinse, that way you get all the residue off. You also need to dry immediately, using a blower on the engine and then towel drying.



You can use ONR but you need brushes that can get deep into the engine area.



There just isn't a really easy way to clean very dirty bikes. :(
 
I would start by cleaning the tires, wheels and engine areas with a good APC and assorted brushes. Rinse the these areas well and then proceed to wash the rest of the bike with the ONR. As Scott said using the blower to dry all the crevices is important. As far as drying the painted areas and any chrome, a good sythetic chamois or quality MF will work just tine. I find that if there is water spotting on chrome, simply wiping the chrome with a MF and some glass cleaner will get rid of the water spotting.
 
Right now I just use the usual two buckets on the paint, and scrub the engine down with S100, as mentioned. The spotting I was talking about was the flat black engine finish, if you don't rinse very well you can get spots on it from the S100 dripping out of the crevices in the engine. Also, I do use an air blower to dry them and get all the water out of the hidden areas.

I guess you answered my question, you really can't wash a dirty engine with a no rinse method.
