ONR comment/review

What a pleasant product. I mixed up some hot water and used a sheepskin in about 37 degree weather. My hands never got cold, and it was just so easy, believe it or not, I wasn't even scared about marring because when I did the second pass with the drying MF the paint looked stunning. My mailman even came over and asked how many coats of wax I put on it because there must be a ton! I believe this products biggest strength is its ease of use, I was actually having fun - until I hit the wheels which proved to be difficult with ONR. My brake dust towel is CAKED in brake dust...But anyway, to anyone who is reluctant to try it, believe me, I am one of the more paranoid people but it worked great :bigups My paint really looks better than ever.

I started using ONR a couple weeks ago and am also quite impressed. It cuts down the wash time on my regular washes. I do a Cayenne weekly and if the client takes a trip, the brake dust is a mess which makes me use regular carwash detergent. But for pain, ONR is great!

I love it too, I do however have a qual with it.

I use a sheepskin mitt, and it seems that the mitt just won't release the dirt, it releses the big stuff, but looks much darker when I'm done, I use a good, new sheepskin. Whats funny though, is when I decided to try to clean it, I just put a bit of Megs Gold Class car wash into a bucket, and a bit of water, and it INSTANTLY released a LOT of grime.

Is it something I'm doing wrong, or is it normal for it to feel oily, and to hold so much grime?

Sorry if you feel this is a thread hijack!

Its also strange because when you dip in the 'wash' bucket, its like dipping your mitt in water. Not for the faint of heart, thats for sure.

just get a more affordable mitt for your wheels with onr and make it your dedicated wheel wash mitt. nothing traditional suds will do that onr cant, aside from sud.

I discovered ONR about 3 weeks ago, and have been using it in my attached garage when outside temperatures are 25º and higher. I use a grout sponge for the body and another dedicated to wheels & rocker panels. Amazing shine. Better than a touchless car wash because the windows & doors don't freeze up, it gets all the dirt off, and doesn't cost $6! My wife's car is parked inside but mine sits outside, so the doors & windows freezing was a big deal in the past.

ONR seems to leave a light film behind (which is good) that adds extreme shine and slickness. The reflection on my hood was awesome - and my car is silver! It brightens the paint and replenishes the paint. After that I used a QD strength ONR for pretty much everything else (jambs, tires, wheels, windows) with success (although the tires I am not sure of its cleaning ability). A truly remarkable product.

I've noticed the sheepskin fibers matting together and not releasing dirt as well. Perhaps putting some regular car wash in the rinse bucket (two bucket method) would be helpful.

It works well on rims also. just get them clean first if they are really dirty then touch up with ONR are easy. Do the rims last with a different MF towel. I have MF for car and MF for rims. I keep and wash them seperate

Let me do ONR today(4 weeks haven't wash) and beside is 38deg today...... yup nice and warm.:lol

Pre-spraying really grimey areas really helps out. Just mix up some ONR/QEW in a spray bottle and spray down the dirty areas before you start washing.

Not to bad for 18 minutes at 27 degress this morning! Could be better but it was coated with sand and salt to start.

Mixed up 1.5 gallons of 120 degree water (with 1 oz of ONR) and one bucket with 3 gallons rinse water (120 degrees).

ONR is a life-saver for those of us who are truly allergic to the cold! I did 3 cars yesterday (just a wash) and did a full detail today! Absolutely amazed in the turn-around of all 4 cars.

Upgraded to SM4 gun. Getting about 2 to 4" per hour!

You make snow in your yard! Awesome! Here in West Michigan we have probably 6" left after yesterday's heat wave.

I'm not seeing the slickness from ONR, but the shine is fantastic. Do you wash the insides of your wheels when using ONR, or only during summertime hose washes?
