ONR as glass cleaner?

Does anyone use ONR as a glass cleaner on a regular basis? If so, at what dilution? I really like sprayway for exterior glass, but not so much for interior because it is a foam and it tends to get on areas that I don't want it on. Also, is ONR safe for tinted windows. TIA

I use ONR at the QD ratio on the outside windows almost exclusively since I keep them sealed, but have not used it on the inside. I'm thinking that the polymers in it could help with hazing of the windows. You want them squeaky clean. I use, and like a lot, the Surf City glass cleaner. It is a spray and is safe on tint.

I've used it for interior...well I was lazy and I had a WW that I was using for the exterior that was damp. It worked like a champ.

I think some are confusing the polymers in ONR for surfactants. The polymers are meant to bond with a car's paint and the dirt on it, making washing safer. I believe it is actually the action of the MF that does the cleaning. The polymers in ONR would not be a benefit on windows because they are not really doing any cleaning. Simply using a damp MF with softened water on windows should work just as well. OR, you could just use a glass cleaner.

ONR'd windows have noticeable glass-sealant-like properties. Not THAT pronounced but still working good.

ONR is excellent for simply wash the glass with it or use as a proper summer windshield wash. You can use it diluted as a washing liquid and/or go up to QD strength if you want more actives on the glass.

I use it at QD strength on glass. Works great. Really dirty interior windows, I preclean using my MFs from washing the car, then go back over with QD strength ONR. You can also add an ounce of denatured alcohol per quart of diluted ONR for added cleaning power.

Thanks Scott.

Two questions

#1 Is it tint safe with denatured alcohol?

#2 Do you use the old QD strength(6oz/gallon) or the new QD strength(8oz/gallon)?

It works great on windows. I tend to use Meg's because I bought a gallon of it, and its a 10:1 mix. So thats going to last a while for me.

1. Should be fine with tint at that dilution ratio.

2. I use 1.5 oz per 32 ounces, so I am using the 6 ounce per gallon ratio.
