had the same issue yesterday with my mf wash mitt, bone, and a sheep skin. I got all the junk off by rising all 3 with plain hot water, then machine washing it with heavy duty warm/cold with about 1.5 oz's of dawn and 1 scoop of oxi clean. Came out perfect, air dryed with no issues.

I've stopped using mitts with ONR - now i just use microfiber towels.
The best way I've found to remove ALL staining and residual dirt traces is to wash and rub the cloth out with palmolive (natural; no phosphates/scents/etc....).
Usually I'll use my cloths 2 or 3 washes, then clean with palmolive.

I regularly wash the GF's 2009 Sapphire Black 335i and my 2005 Carbon Black M3 via ONR and sheepskin mitts (especially during the Chicago winter). ONR does leave a nice amount of residue in the mitts, but I found that they clean up very easily with a simple hand wash and Woolite. If the buildup is heavy (usually on the lower panel mitts) a 2nd hand wash might be needed, but they look pretty much like new when done.
I usually inspect the finish after each wash via the Brickmann (time permitting) and I haven't seen any marring. I use Uber sheepskin mitts for the upper panels and "Pep Boys" sheepskins for the lower panels. I do spray each panel with ONR at a 1:32 dilution prior to the normal wash (1 or 2 bucket method depending on how much salt, etc is on the finish).

I 2-bucket ONR with a white MF bone from Target (store brand).
I put full strength in the main wash bucket; and 1/2 strength ONR into the 'rinse' bucket.
This REALLY helps with the releasing of the dirt from the mitt.
When I was using plain/clear water for the rinse bucket I had a major dirt release problem and had to use 2-mitts, 1 for upper 1 for lower surfaces.
Now it virtually washes clean with a good squeezing. I also change my rinse bucket water out when I'm about 1/2 way through the job.

My car turned out good. It was the first time I used it so I was just asking if it was normal for the wash mitt to stain.

For the staining/tint issue just use some regular car soap and the issue should go away. Not a problem, but as other have said its a feature.
