Can you explain your process?

You didn't have any problems using a pressure washer? Did you they to avoid any area is it pretty save to let water go on all the parts?
 
Thanks for the compliments everyone, I can now lift my hood and not be ashamed.



I got the degreaser and APC from the dealership I work at. The company that supplies them is CarBrite. I used their Varsol degreaser and a product called "Hot Stuff" which is a strong APC.



My process was:

Spray Varsol Degreaser on first, cover entire engine compartment and hood

Spray Hot Stuff APC on top of that

Let stand for 5-10min while agetating select areas, Valve cover, intake manifold, anything that can be scrubbed with a brush basically.

Power Wash engine compartment and hood

I avoided spraying directly at the fuse box, alternator and ignition system.
 
Wow nice transformation. 1st I thought the engine bay was painted gold color or someting :shocked
 
Yeah, that varsol is strong stuff. I felt pretty dizzy after using that stuff, I should have had better ir flow. The headach after lasted the whole day.
 
Ive always been nervous about cleaning my engine...I dont want to spray something I shouldnt and ruin something...One of these days I'll give it a shot..:( Your afters are amazing, great work! :eek:

Nice job on the photoshop. I don't think my car will look like that any time soon though. I do have some improvements on the way, I will post as soon as I get things done and detailed.
