One trip to the car wash

The owner of this BMW likes to wash it him self. However he felt lazy one day and took it to the local carwash. I didn't have much time to take lots of pictures sorry.

Optimum compound with a white LC VC Curved edge pad.

Optimum Polish with a black LC VC Curved edge pad.

Wipe down with OCW.

Cyclo with white pads and AJ sealant.

The line in the hood shot is a vapor trail.

I see no pictures, but how is OC with a white pad? I never thought of using it. Can you explain?

LC's white pad is a polishing pad, at least mine are!

Excellent work Ron. Have you had any durability issues using AJ over OCW?

Like Ron, I like using the white LC VC "polishing" pads for compounding. These are firm polishing pads that allow me to exert pressure when I need to cut...also ensuring the product breaks down properly, yet finishes out extremely well.

Optimum Wax (spray wax).

Scott I find that the LC white pad is a little stiffer than others and is very versitle with a rotary.

For the AJ I dont see alot of the cars I do on a regular basis like you do. However I did wash a hummer today that AJ on top of OCW and it felt as slick and looked as wet as the day I applied it three weeks ago. I use the cyclo to apply AJ. I think the heat helps with the bonding.

Thank you for the nice comments.

Ron-my Optimum distributor, Larry, has the LC pads and I agree, while the white pad's face is soft, the pad itself is quite firm. Works great with Menzerna 106FF and my 50/50 Optimum Polish/Compound mix. :)
