I just bought a porter cable 7336sp from lowes. I need a vecro backing plate and pads. My question is which pads should I get a 6 inch the same as the backing plate or bigger? like a 7.5?

jax, I got some sort of error from that link. As for pad size, some folks like the larger pads for finishing. Personally, I like 6" pads for everything. Sometimes, I feel like I could use a smaller pad for focused polishing, but the 6" size is a nice compromise.

hope this helps thanks fo your reply!!:xyxthumbs

Yeah, 6.5" is about as big as I'd go. Any larger and the vibrations from the machine are really annoying. Smaller pads = less vibration and more comfy buffing.

That kit is great for starters.

This bundle includes our 6 1/2" Yellow cutting pad, our Orange light cutting/polishing pad, our White polishing pad, our Black finishing pad and of course the 5" backing plate. The Paradise Pad Bundle includes everything you need to remove oxidation, swirls, spider webbing then finish with a glaze or wax. This bundle is an easy way to get started with specialized pads to expand your detailing prowess. The backing plate is threaded to fit Porter Cable Dual Action polishers such as the 7336 and 7424.
