I was referred to this customer and told the paint was in terrible condition. When I looked at it, I had never seen such bad swirls and scratches. It almost looked like it was wet-sanded improperly and never buffed. The guy just bought the car, and got a GREAT deal on it, as he had the salesman as well as the car lot owner agree he would need to have it resprayed. He called me to get it looking less embarrassing to drive until he could paint it. I went to work, knowing I'd get some good results. Here are the befores, which were taken after a wash and clay.
I did all my work with a PC.
DACP/cutting pad
#82/polishing pad
#7/polishing pad
Gold Class Wax/Finishing pad
Final buff/microfiber bonnet
Here's what happened.
This was a couple months back, but I finally wanted to post pics. This was one of those that really makes your day when the customer does backflips down his driveway knowing I saved him thousands for a respray, and the car looks better than showroom. How could you not love to polish cars? So rewarding!
