One More New Member Saying HI!

Hi!

My name is Bob and I became an Autotopia member after looking at the Meguiars site in the UK and there was a link to here. I've never looked back since! My silver Audi is the shiniest it's ever been and my wife's dark blue Daihatsu just gleams! (Becoming a bit of a perfectionist?) and would like them to be even better - like some cars I've seen in the pictures - wow! so I've joined in here and hope to benefit from the experience of other members.

I've already posted a couple of replies and have had a great welcome, so thanks!

Great website!

Hi,

Thanks "the other PC " for the welcome.

Also, Paul thanks for the welcome.

In answer to your question the Audi is a 1.9 TDI A6 Avant SE. It's silver in colour and I really like it. So far, I've used Meguiars Gold Class shampoo and their Quick Clay system. I used Meguiars Gold class wax which was great but I recently tried their NXT wax which seems to be even better. I've used Meguiars PlastX on the Plastic lenses and Hot Shine on the tyres but I'm not so sure about the hot shine as it did not seem to last very long. (I'm open to any suggestions)

(note: the above products can be bought locally in NE Scotland).

When I found the Autopia site I ordered a PC/Sonus kit and have been "playing" with it between showers. I've since ordered some Klasse AIO and SG to see if the result can be better! and can hardly wait for them to arrive to try out.

I'll maybe even post some pics if the results warrant it? (silver is good but does not show off the shine like a dark colour though)

Hope this is of help?

Bob

I just tried AIO on my car with 4* UPP over it, and it looks better than ever.

I currently use NXT Tech Protectant on my tires. I think it looks great. The only thing I don't like is that when you rinse the tires during the next wash, the oil from the dressing gets all over the driveway. I've since learned that wiping off the excess product upon application will prevent the oils from running off of the tire. I'd recommend doing that if you use the NXT T.P.

I know your frustration of trying to get a light color car to shine like a dark color! Good Luck!

It takes time, but don't think light colors can't have good reflections!

BTW, the above pic is with GEPC/EX-P x2/Paste Glaz.

You can see more results from my car with Gold Class (last year...2nd pic on homepage) and GEPC/EX-P/Paste Glaz on my homepage (near the bottom).
