One Grand Products

Hopefully soon I'll be getting Special Touch, Omega Glaze, Blitz Wax, and Show Off. I've heard quite a bit about Blitz wax, but not a whole lot about the supporting products.

Who out there has used the One Grand line-up?

I love the stuff.

Quality specialized products.

Plastic, Glass, Chrome, Metal polishes... solid stuff.

Show Off... one of my favorite QD's. My go to cleaner right now. Smells like coconut.

Special Touch, Glaze, Blitz... a classic.

I think when I stock up on bulk I'm going with them. I'm going to sample their polishes and dressings to see how I like them.

I used Blitz way back in its hayday, when it was the wax de jour. Really a great carnauba wax that gets little attention nowdays. Blitz offers above average durability than most carnaubas, really good depth, and a nice shine to boot. It's a shame it isn't talked about much any more. I'd say it would rival Natty Blue or S100 and offer better durability to boot.

I have not used many of the other OG products, however, it was my understanding that Show-Off is a great QD for carnauba finishes.

OG is one of those no-frill brands that doesn't over-hype, over-market the products or make crazy claims, but just offers solid, quality reaults for a good price. Even though I haven't used the products in a long time, I'd say it's one of the more underrated brands here.

Zane, let me know how you like the QD!

You, my friend, are a junkie. You seriously need to seek professional help. Keep the QDs away from your nose and veins!

:getdown

Thanks for the feedback so far, guys :)

But I buy mines from this guy at serpantautosport in CA. He doesn't have an online store, but you can call, fax or email him for quotes and orders, and pay via paypal. Great service.

his email is charliedimarco@aol.com

What's nice is Charlie sells buy the gallon... which is why I'm contemplating using One Grand as my go to product in terms of Bulk.

If we're ever out in public and I'm sporting a QD-stache, kindly let me know and I'll wipe it off.

Oh, and please tell me the Show Off sucks so I don't buy any. :nervous:

By the way, my therapist has dropped my case. He said I'm beyond help after I busted out my 8 oz. bottle of Speed Shine and pocket MF and went to town on his computer screen in the middle of our session. :nixweiss

:D

mine did too after I told him I'd get all his swirl marks out in exchange for sessions :nervous:

BLITZ rocks! That's a well-establshed fact. It's the HD carnauba ;)

Their QD product is the richest carnauba-based spray I've ever used and requires a little more time/TLC than your typical QDer. EXCELLENT stuff :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

Sorry man, I have to resist urges of drinking it on occasion. Cleans like a champ, and smells so nice. :grinno:

I even used it to deodorize my cat once.

I've been wanting to try out the Blitz Wax, Omega Glaze, and Show Off. I don't want to hijack Zane's thread, but I'll go ahead and ask... have you compared Show Off to Crystal Mist, Sonus Carnauba Spritz, Griot's Speed Shine, EFCP, or other popular carnauba based QDs?

The Pinnacle product and the Show Off compare favorably. The Show Off is clearly richer. When I say it's LOADED with carnauba, I ain't kiddin'. With that said, it definitely requires more effort/time than Meg's #34, for example. It's very rich and I would only use on a freshly washed car.

HTH.

People sure rave about the concealing ability of the Omega/Blitz combo. A recent comment was something like "it'll hide anything up to panel gaps" :D

I hear you need to keep the Blitz off black trim, so be careful in that regard.

Probably the best combination of looks and durability combined in a carnauba. I think it gives a clear super wet look and enhances flake, not such a traditional carnauba look. I think their Omega Glaze is definately a true glaze with swirl hiding capabilities. The Glaze - Blitz combo ranks up there as a top pair in regards to carnaubas.

I have not used their QD as I have 6 other ones to go through! But I respect tomp's opinion as a long time One Grand user. I'm sure when used in conjunction with Blitz, it offers killer results.

They make a chemical cleaner, AIO-like called Speical Touch, that has gotten rave reviews from a small few who use it:

A non-abrasive cleaner for today's clear coat finishes. Special Touch removes water-spots, over-spray, fallout, and is an excellent all around deep cleaning product for neglected auto finishes. Follow with Omega Glaze and Blitz Wax for a showroom new finish. Use by hand or machine.

One note on Special Touch. They say it is a non-abrasive cleaner, but if you use it you will actually see that it leaves micro scratches in the clear. These scratches are either hidden or removed after the application of Omega Glaze. I have experienced this issue on several different cars. I would say the Blitz is worth it, but the Special Touch and Omega Glaze are not. I do really like their ERV rubber dressing.

I luv' it!

I have the Omega Glaze. Had a very tough time with it. On a difficulty scale of 1 to 10, I'd say it equals Griot's BOS wax :nervous:
