Well my place doesn't have a garage, but I do have a covered carport. Only problem is, there are ample stray cats that roam the neighborhood (never seems to be a lack of abundance of them) and every freaking night, no matter if the car is dirty or freshly detailed, I come out the next morning to find muddy pawprints all over the hood and sometimes trunk area of the vehicle. I understand they seek warmth. However, upon closer inspection of my finish, I've noticed that the pawprints have left severe imprints in the clearcoat, which pisses me the eff off. Does anyone else experience this problem with neighborhood cats?
It's made me consider investing in a car cover, but even then, I'd have to deal with the micromarring caused by slipping the cover on/off the car on a non-clean surface. This is really irking me. Is there anything I can do to help ward-off these pesks? Perhaps an alarm with super extreme shock detection? I'd trap 'em and call up the pound myself if I caught them, but seems they seek heat at the wee hours of the morning.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
