aio, sg, #4, #1, #83, #82, SMR 39009, 3m 39007, S100 GEPC, S100 wax,

yellow, white, and black pad. pc 7336.

colour: BMW Carbon Black, very dark metallic blue with purple tint

my goal is to #83, #82, aio, sg, s100 wax

here is what i did, I used #83 (yellow pad) followed by #82 (white pad), however, i still have very light scratches (the one can't be felt by finger nail, still cant be seen under bulb at certain angle)

even though i used the white pad till the paint was warm, the scratches were still there.

do i have to use filler?

do i have to remove them before using AIO, SG, WAX?

any suggestion?

VM doesn't really fit into this routine. Ordinarily, VM would be used as a light paint cleaner and glaze and thus, used immediately following the #82. However, the AIO would remove any and all lasting effects of the VM and actually accomplishes some of the goals of VM (add slickness, clean, prepare for sealant). If you have some and you want to play with it and still want to use this routine, go for non-porous trim and the glass.

where can i put vm into my list :

#83, #82, aio, sg, s100 wax?

so, if i want to use mv, i have to stop using AIO, and SG,

what do i use after wm?

#83, #82, wm, + ?? + s100 wax??

AIO and SG are great, but so is VM. If you want to go with the VM, I would follow VM with *either* #16 *or* EX. Go with EX-P if you have a light colored car. It's up to you about topping with S100.

The other route you could go if you are a freak about waxing (like me) is to follow the VM directly with S100. You only get about 3-4 weeks out of this but it still looks great.

mine is a dark metallic colour, i heard people here said,

... VM, EX-P combo

all i understand is that :

vm makes the dark colour very slick,

EX-P makes the flakes shiny

no?

Can anyone tell me more about EX and EX-P?

i have searched for EX and EX-P, but i am still abit confused with the them.

Both Poorboy's EX and EX-P are sealants. Here are the difference.

EX = carnauba content - darker color cars

EX-P = no carnauba content - ligher color cars

If you wanted to use VM purely for its very light polishing ability, then it would be inserted in between #82 and AIO. I'm not too sure it has all that much value though, since AIO would remove (at least some of) VM's fillers.

If you still have scratches that are identifiable as "scratches" then no filler is going to help you, VM or SG or whatever. You're going to need more work with #83 probably with the yellow (cutting) pad, but if they're just a few scratches spread out away from each other I would recommend hand polishing them individually instead of thinning all the paint around them.

i think all the light scratches ( the ones i can only see under a bulb ) are created by washing, it seems that they are all in straight lines.

I used

#83 ( yellow pad, up to speed 6 and white pad up to 6),

#82 (white pad, up to speed 5)

but, i still could see them

then, i used

#1 by hand ( i did remove them) it took time,

#83,

#82

something i don't understand here is that, for the very light scratches,#83 and #82 can't remove them, and i have to use up to #1 to "sand" it down, and use #83 and #82 "sand it" make them look better,

if those light scratches can only be seen under a bulb( sometimes at certain angle) which means they are very fine scatrches, how come i have to use up to #1 to "sand" them ?
